Ann G. Wylie Dissertation Fellowship
The Graduate School Dissertation Fellowships currently include the Ann G. Wylie Dissertation Fellowship and the Lee Thornton Dissertation Fellowship.
The Wylie and Lee Thornton Fellowships provide support to University of Maryland doctoral candidates who are in the latter stages of writing their dissertations. This full‐time fellowship carries a stipend of $15,000 and can be used in Fall 2018 or Spring 2019. Wylie and Lee Thornton Fellows also receive a candidacy tuition award, a credit for mandatory fees and a credit towards the purchase of health insurance.
Eligibility: Eligible candidates are current UMD doctoral students who will have advanced to candidacy by June 1, 2018, and expect to graduate by August 2019.
Nomination Process: Students must be nominated by the UMD department or program. Programs may nominate no more than two students for the Dissertation Fellowships. The nomination deadline is noon on *Wednesday, February 14, 2018.
