Yi Hao, PhD

In her role as the Program Director for Career and Professional Development within The Graduate School, Dr. Yi Hao directs and manages career-related services to graduate programs across twelve colleges to support doctoral and postdoctoral career development by leveraging existing faculty, staff, and program support. Prior to joining UMD, Dr. Hao earned her PhD in Higher Education Administration from the College of William and Mary and served as the Assistant Director of Professional Development at the University of Virginia. At UVA, she led core professional development programs and managed the operations of a university-wide initiative, PhD Plus, through building partnerships, conducting research on career outcomes, and providing one on one consultations to PhD students and Postdocs.
