Faculty & Staff Awards
The Graduate School is pleased to administer several faculty and staff awards that recognize the efforts and accomplishments of individuals and programs who demonstrate excellence in support of graduate education.
Faculty-Student Research Award (FSRA)
Faculty-Student Research Award provides up to $15,000 to support a faculty project that directly involves graduate students. Proposals require a detailed description of the faculty project, and a description of how the student will benefit.
Deadline: Wednesday, January 7, 2026, by 5:00 p.m.
Graduate Faculty Mentor of the Year Award
The Graduate Faculty Mentor of the Year Award serves the dual purposes of recognizing outstanding mentoring provided by individual faculty and of reminding the University community of the importance of mentoring to graduate students.
Nomination Deadline: 12:00 p.m. (noon) on Friday, March 20, 2026.
Program Award for Graduate Student Mentorship
This award was launched as a way to recognize and honor graduate programs on campus who are setting standards of excellence in mentorship. This honor comes with a $1,000 award to the department to support mentoring activities.
Postdoctoral Faculty Mentor of the Year Award
The award honors faculty members who play a transformative role in the professional and personal development of postdoctoral scholars.
