Funding Application Resources
Graduate students seeking external grants and fellowships are encouraged to work with their Director of Graduate Studies and/or advisor to develop effective application materials. Agencies want the best possible proposals, so you are encouraged to contact a funding agency to ask appropriate, substantive questions during the application process. Speaking with the funding agency and faculty who have interacted with the funding agency will give you special insights. Additionally, explore the resources offered on campus below.
The Graduate School Center for Writing and Oral Communication
The Graduate School Center for Writing and Oral Communication provides support for writing and oral presentations by offering one-on-one consultation sessions, walk-in hours, and workshops. Use their expertise and guidance in writing articles, fellowship applications, oral presentations, or even a brainstorming session to assist you with communicating your research.
3MT Workshops
The annual Three-Minute Thesis Competition (3MT) challenges students to communicate the significance of their research projects to a non-specialist audience in just THREE MINUTES! Please visit the 3MT webpage for more information. Join us for the workshop to help you prepare for the competition or just to hone your communication skills! RSVP here to register for the workshops.
