Application Process
At the University of Maryland, The Graduate School partners with individual academic programs to oversee the admissions process. As an applicant, you’ll interact with both your program of interest and The Graduate School.
Before You Apply
Each program sets its own criteria and timeline. Consult your program’s website for specific admission requirements and deadlines.
Apply Now
Applying starts with understanding the process and selecting the correct application pathway for your intended program.
After You Apply
The program will review your materials and recommend an admissions decision to The Graduate School.
If you are recommended for admission, The Graduate School will verify your eligibility and issue a formal offer. Admission is not final until you receive this formal offer from The Graduate School.
If you have any questions, your primary point of contact is the academic department to which you have applied.
