Are you looking to secure funding for your scholarship? This event presents grant seeking strategies for domestic and international postdocs and late-stage doctoral students. Discover various funder types, funding mechanisms, and strategies to enhance your grant writing skills.
During this session, we will learn how to:
• Tailor your search based on citizenship, discipline, and career stage;
• Assess your fit for funding opportunities (with a private foundation focus);
• Enhance your grantwriting and networking skills (including how to engage with program officers);
• Start the submission process at your institution.
This session will be led by James Gentry, director of postdoctoral affairs (Ohio State) and Kaylee Steen, associate director of professional development and trainee support (University of Michigan Medical School). James and Kaylee both have substantial experience with the grantseeking and grantwriting pre-award process for both private foundation and federal funding opportunities.
