Our doctoral students and postdoctoral scholars have an opportunity at one-on-one professional development with the Graduate School Doctoral Career Pathways Alumni Mentoring Program. Mentees ideally will be paired with alumni with terminal degrees working in a career field of mentees’ interests or with a similar academic background. We encourage mentors and mentees from all backgrounds and interests in various career paths beyond faculty careers to participate in this program.

Applications are now open for the Spring 2025, which runs from late April to August. All mentors and mentees are required to attend the in-person kickoff meeting from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm, on Friday, April 25. Pairs are also required to meet independently for 3 times during the program.

Spots are limited, and mentor matches are not guaranteed. Applications are open until 12 pm, April 7, 2025 (or whenever we reach capacity).  

The program is hosted on TerrapinsConnect, the University’s virtual platform to connect Terps. Please take a few minutes to create a profile on the platform before registering for the Alumni Mentoring Program. For more instructions, please see below.

All participants who meet the mentoring program expectations will receive a certificate that can be added to their LinkedIn profiles.
