Encounters with police can be stressful and confusing. This workshop will help you understand your legal rights and how to respond in different situations, such as being pulled over while driving, asked to take a breath test, or approached at home. Learn what the "right to remain silent" really means, when police can search you or your vehicle, and when it’s appropriate to file a police report. Common questions will be answered to help you stay informed and prepared. If you need any accommodations or have any questions or concerns, please email glao@umd.edu.
The Zoom link will be posted and sent via email to all registrants by 11 AM the morning of the workshop.
