New Student Orientation 2025
We are so happy to welcome you to your first semester as a GradTerp!
The Graduate School is hosting our campus-wide Graduate School New Student Orientation asynchronously through ELMS-Canvas. Beginning July 1, 2025, anyone with UMD credentials can access the orientations through Open Learning. For all new GradTerps, please click the button below to access the orientations. We ask that students plan to complete the orientation by Friday, August 29.

Rising Graduate Scholar Ann Ramirez combines her childhood dream of becoming a doctor with her passion for math through biomedical engineering. She investigates how engineering solutions can improve the overall immune system function by studying structural changes in lymph nodes.
