As part of the University of Maryland’s membership in the National Science Foundation’s CIRTL Alliances for Graduate Education and the Professoriate (AGEP) grant, the Graduate School recently launched a series of training workshops on diversity and inclusion for graduate students, postdoctoral fellows and faculty on the campus.

As one of the leading research universities in the nation, UMD is at the forefront of progressive research. The effort to maintain this kind of excellence requires dedicated faculty and talented graduate students, working together with partner organizations, to extend and refine the University’s research capacity.

Almost two years after the Council of Graduate Schools' 2016 report on Holistic Review in Graduate Admissions, graduate programs across the enterprise underwent holistic admissions training with national thought-leaders
