Benefits for Administrators
Big Ten Academic Alliance Graduate Deans Group
The Big Ten Academic Alliance is governed by the provosts of the member universities, who act as a committee of the whole to lead, guide, and direct activities. Several other senior leadership groups provide direction and/or make investments in activities, including the Big Ten Academic Alliance Graduate Deans Group, in which the dean of UMD’s Graduate School actively participates.
This group facilitates the sharing of comparative data on graduate education on an ongoing basis with short turnaround. Such exchange of information and data directly benefits students, as it enables administrators to make decisions on policies and programs that will positively affect the overall graduate student experience.
