    On February 15th, the Department of American Studies sponsored a program on Racial and Social Justice and Scholar|Student Activism. The event was open to the UMD community and featured American Studies graduate student Tatiana Benjamin as a panelist.

  • Where Are They Now...

    Amr Keshta (’17, MEES) came to Maryland in 2013 as a visiting scholar to conduct research on the Northern coastal wetlands of Egypt through a research collaboration between Egypt and the United States.

  • Graduate Student Quality of Life Survey Final Report Now Available

    The Graduate School has released its final report from the Spring 2017 Quality of Life Survey. This survey, administered in conjunction with the Office of Graduate Student Life, Graduate Student Government, and the Office of Graduate Student Legal Aid, is the most comprehensive survey of graduate student experience at UMD to date. The full report is available online.

  • Teach, Bake, Travel

    Mike Galczynski has three passions: teaching, baking and traveling. Somehow, he has found a way to satisfy all three through his academic and professional pursuits. As an engineer and science education doctoral student, he teaches innovative engineering courses to undergraduates at UMD, including ones in Greece and Iceland last year.
