WORKSHOPS - How do I prepare my taxes?

Navigating the complexities of filing Federal and State taxes can be challenging, even for graduate students! In an effort to ease this process, we are offering separate "how to" tax workshops via Zoom for domestic and international students. It's important to note that all international students have an annual filing requirement, irrespective of their income. Additionally, domestic students might need to file to avail themselves of specific education tax credits. For those grappling with more complex situations, we will provide information on free resources for personalized one-on-one tax support offered by TerpTax. Filing Federal and State taxes is confusing for everyone, including graduate students! To help you through this process, in 2022 Graduate Student Legal Aid Office (GLAO) partnered with the Graduate School and International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS) to host one tax workshop for domestic students and another for international students.
