Beyond the Professoriate

Doctoral students and postdoctoral scholars in all disciplines have 24/7 access to Beyond the Professoriate, an online career training and professional development platform. Beyond the Professoriate provides lessons, events, and resources for doctoral students and postdocs who are interested in both academic and non-academic jobs. 

In addition to self-paced content, Beyond the Professoriate also hosts live events every semester. View the fall schedule of events. If you can’t make the live sessions, the office of Career and Professional Development is hosting a series of watch parties to watch and discuss the recordings. How Do I Access Beyond the Professoriate? 

To access the platform, visit Beyond the Professoriate (this is the access link) and you will be prompted to select your institution from the list.

Choose "University of Maryland - College Park" and you will be redirected to your UMD Central Authentication Service (CAS) page to input your directory ID and passphrase.
