Research and Scholarship Awards (RASA)
Graduate School Faculty Support Awards comprise Research and Scholarship Awards (RASA) and Creative and Performing Arts Awards (CAPAA). The Faculty Support Award Program is intended to support faculty research, scholarship, and creative activity while also enhancing graduate student mentoring. It also encourages fellowship proposal writing, ensures accountability, and increases visibility of faculty achievement. The AY 2018–19 RASA and CAPAA competitions are held in Fall 2017.
Eligibility: Faculty holding full-time tenured and tenure-track positions at the University of Maryland, College Park are eligible to apply. Faculty must have the rank of assistant, associate, or full professor. The Summer RASA is available to faculty who are on a 9-, 9.5, or 10- month contract. Faculty are eligible for only one CAPAA or RASA in any three-year period. Please consult the Award Guidelines for additional eligibility requirements.
Application Process: Semester RASA applications are due by noon on Monday, October 2, 2017. Summer RASA applications are due by noon Monday, October 9, 2017.
