Join us for a rejuvenating experience designed to help graduate students and postdocs engage in restorative practices, reflect on their journeys, and build meaningful community connections.

Enjoy wellness activities, movement sessions, and social engagement opportunities in a relaxed and welcoming environment.

Reflect on your experiences as a graduate student or postdoc.

Connect with fellow scholars from across the University System of Maryland.

Time Activity Description
11:00 AM to 11:30 AM Check-In and Review Schedule Registered students and postdocs will receive a name tag and independently review schedule for the day.
11:30 AM to 11:45 AM Welcome Message Students and postdocs will receive a brief welcome message from event organizers and sponsors then kick off the events for the day.
12:00 PM to 1:00 PM Wellness Activities Students and postdocs will have the option to attend one of three wellness events including: R & B Yoga with Dr. Tamisha Ponder, Mindful Tea Time, Mindful Moments Walk with UMD Staff, Tania DeBarros, LCSW-C.
1:00 PM to 2:00 PM Networking Lunch Students and postdocs will have an opportunity to connect with other students and postdocs from other programs and institutions.
2:00 PM to 3:00 PM Creating Community via Social Activities Students and postdocs will have the option to attend one of three social activities including: Bowling, Spades Tournament and Line Dancing 101.
3:00 PM to 3:30 PM Closeout and Transition Students and postdocs are encouraged to exchanged information and plan to connect.
4:00 PM to 6:00 PM Social Hour and Happy Hour Students and postdocs are welcome to attend a Social Hour and Happy Hour at the Hall at CP. Attendees are responsible for any purchases made at the happy hour.

Attendees are responsible for their own parking and any purchases made during the social hour/happy hour.

The venue is wheelchair accessible, with elevators and accessible restrooms available.

Please email gs-counselor@umd.edu with any specific accommodation requests by May 2, 2025.

From the North (Baltimore): Take I-95 South → Exit 25B (College Park/US-1) → Follow signs to UMD.

From the South (Virginia, D.C.): Take I-495 North → Exit 25B (College Park/US-1) → Follow signs to UMD.

From the East (Annapolis, Eastern Shore): Take US-50 West → Merge onto I-95 North → Exit 25B (College Park/US-1).

From the West (Frederick, Western Maryland): Take I-270 South → Merge onto I-495 East → Exit 25B (College Park/US-1).

Parking: The closet available in the Union Lane Garage (paid parking). Attendees are responsible for parking fees. An alternative location is Regents Parking Garage (paid parking).  Please review the visitor parking map

Public Transit: The College Park Metro Station (Green Line) is a short shuttle ride or walk to campus.

Campus Shuttle: The University’s shuttle services provide access to STAMP.

If possible, Graduate Students and Postdocs attending from other institutions are encouraged to carpool. 

Restrooms are located inside STAMP near the event spaces.

Water stations are available throughout the venue.

Attendees will be responsible for their own purchases.
