UMD SREB Fellows and SREB Alumni Association

The Southern Regional Education Board (SREB) is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization that works side-by-side with policymakers such as state legislators and education agency officials as they implement policies to help students achieve more, prepare students for college and careers, and boost college completion.

Teaching and Learning

The Graduate School’s Office of Teaching and Learning sponsors workshops and programs to assist faculty in teaching graduate students and to train graduate students to teach undergraduate students.

The academic enterprise relies on a cadre of well-trained teaching assistants. These assistantships are an integral part of graduate student training and professional development.

As part of its Student Success Initiatives, the Graduate School hosted a series of free workshops, led by experienced investors, counselors, and specialists, to help students develop money management skills that they can use during their graduate studies and long after they graduate.
