Summer Internship Fellowship
In partnership with University of Maryland doctoral programs, the Graduate School is pleased to offer the Summer Internship Fellowship program. The Internship Fellowship provides students with the opportunity to participate in alternative learning experiences that advance a doctoral student’s professional developments. The fellowships carry a stipend of $5,000 with specific cost-share requirements, as detailed in the guidelines.
Eligibility: Eligible candidates must be UMD doctoral students who are at "mid-career" (just before, at, or just after reaching candidacy).
Nomination Process: All Ph.D. programs are eligible to nominate up to 2 candidates for the Summer Internship Fellowship. The nomination deadline is noon on Wednesday, March 4, 2026.
